Castlepoint
Nach vielen Wochenenden durcharbeiten haben wir uns vor kurzem mal wieder ‘freigenommen’ und sind mit Freunden das wundervolle Augustwetter geniessen gefahren.
Unser Ausflug hat uns an die Ostkueste verschlagen – um genau zu sein ging es nach Castlepoint. Ca 2 1/2 – 3 Stundn Autofahrt von Wellington und schon ist man wieder an einem weiteren wunderschoenen Ort direkt am Pazifik.
Nur der kuehle Ostwind und eine Nachttemperatur von ca 2 Grad haben uns daran erinnert, das es eigentlich noch mitten im Winter ist.
Ein sehr schoener und erholsamer Ausflug.
Friends invited us to join them on a camping trip for a weekend. And after many busy weekends we decided to do just that – spend 2 days away from work and computer to enjoy the wonderful August weather.
Our trip let us to the east coast – we visited Castlepoint. Castlepoint is a beautiful spot located directly at the pacific ocean about 2 1/2-3 hours from Wellington.
Only the cold easterlies and a night time temperature of 2 degrees reminded us that it’s still winter on this side of the world.
It was a wonderful and relaxing weekend.
